Update on the 2026 Oklahoma Veterans Film Competition

After careful consideration, the Oklahoma Veterans Film Competition will not take place in 2026.

This year has brought a transition in leadership and with the competition’s traditional October 1 start date approaching, we made the decision to postpone this year’s event rather than move forward without the time needed to properly prepare and promote the competition statewide.

We are incredibly grateful to the students, instructors, veterans, schools, partners and supporters who have helped make the competition possible over the years.

Our goal is for the Oklahoma Veterans Film Competition to return in 2027 and we look forward to sharing more information as plans come together.

Thank you for your continued support of the competition and its mission to help preserve and share the stories of Oklahoma veterans!

We’ll see you next year!

“If they don't tell their story,

it never happened!”
